Deepening Your Practice:
Advanced Conflict Resolution Training

Interactive professional development for conflict resolution practitioners and professionals who regularly work with conflict.

About this training

Conflict resolution rarely follows a predictable path. For practitioners and professionals, complex and entrenched conflicts can require more than foundational tools: they call for reflection, adaptability, creativity and a deeper understanding of the people and dynamics involved.

Deepening Your Practice is an advanced online conflict resolution course designed to help professionals expand their practice and approach challenging situations with greater awareness and a broader range of strategies. Through six highly interactive sessions, participants explore reflective practice, mental health and well-being, impasse, creative problem-solving, trust, power and complex disputes, and consider how these approaches can be applied in their own professional contexts.

The course combines practical instruction, discussion and application with an individual coaching session, giving each participant an opportunity to connect the learning directly to their own practice and professional goals.

  • Sessions will take place twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, 10 AM – 12:30 PM EST, beginning January 18, 2027 and ending February 4, 2027

  • An opportunity for an individual coaching session of up to one hour to further individualize course information and facilitate each learner’s personal goals is included.

  • Individual coaching sessions can be scheduled to occur between January 25, 2027 – February 14, 2027.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for conflict resolution practitioners and experienced professionals whose work regularly involves conflict, difficult conversations or complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics.

Participants may include mediators, facilitators, conflict management practitioners, HR and labour-relations professionals, managers, consultants and others seeking to deepen an existing practice.

Formal mediation credentials are not required; however, the course is intended for participants who already bring professional experience working with conflict rather than those seeking an introduction to conflict resolution.

Leanna Haythorne, Fed Gov Practitioner

“I have had the immense pleasure of learning from and with both Harry and Lisa Webne-Behrman over the past 25 years. While they are both excellent trainers who will help you really explore concepts and learn how to put what you learn into practice, they are both exceptional practitioners who model what they teach.

From each encounter with Harry and Lisa, I have come away with an increased understanding of conflict and conflict resolution as well as a better sense of my own ability to help others work through conflict.”
