With over 30 years of experience, Carole is a seasoned expert in organizational, intercultural, and deep-rooted conflict management and resolution. Her extensive career has spanned both the private and public sectors, taking her to various locations in Canada and abroad. Carole's diverse roles include that of a lawyer, adjudicator, negotiator, mediator, facilitator, and trainer.
During her tenure in the Canadian Federal Government, Carole held key management positions where she was responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing systems, programs, policies, directives, legislative reforms, and training related to conflict prevention, management, and resolution.
Carole is a certified mediator with the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ) and held the Barreau du Québec's certification as a mediator in civil, commercial, and labor-related matters from March 2003 to April 2019. She is the founding president of Studio17 Médiation inc., a reputable company providing mediation, facilitation, training, and coaching services in conflict management and resolution.
Her dedication to the field is further evident through her involvement as a former director on the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution (CICR) Board of Directors. Currently, Carole is an esteemed CICR trainer and Honoured Fellow.
Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, Carole's linguistic abilities facilitate her effectiveness in diverse settings.
