Annette Tejada

Trainer & Practitioner

Since joining CICR in 2014, Annette has been a driving force in coordinating the TPN Program while actively delivering TPN-1 training in the Dominican Republic. An architect with an MBA in University Management, she possesses a diverse range of skills that have been instrumental in her various roles.


Annette's dedication to transforming the lives of individuals, institutions, and communities is evident through her involvement in multiple initiatives. As a consultant for projects supported by international funds, she focuses on community development and conflict resolution, impacting positive change on a global scale.


A sought-after speaker at both international and national events, Annette shares her expertise on topics related to sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and social progress. Her passion for fostering sustainable development is further reflected in her roles as a professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in the Dominican Republic and as Director of the Center for the Study, Prevention, and Resolution of Conflicts (CEPREC-PUCMM).


Beyond academia, Annette serves as the Director of the Agency for the Promotion of Development Initiatives (APID) and the CEO of VA Facilitations & Training. As the General Coordinator of the Culture of Peace Program and a dedicated advocate of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development, she actively promotes SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
