On Friday, December 5, Community Conflict Resolution Ottawa (CCRO) will welcome community members and volunteers to a recognition event at the CICR–CCRO Community Room (L213, Saint Paul University, Laframboise Hall) from 2:00–3:00 p.m. EST. The gathering will recognize the impact of a $29,500 Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) grant, which has supported CCRO in strengthening its volunteer-based community mediation program and conflict-resolution services in Ottawa. Catherine McKenney (They/Them), MPP for Ottawa Centre, will join the event to participate in the recognition activities.

Over the past year, CCRO has expanded its ability to serve individuals, housing co-operatives, and small community organizations by enhancing volunteer training, improving trauma-informed intake practices, and strengthening peer-to-peer mentoring through its communities of practice. With volunteers providing conflict coaching, mediation, workshops, and dialogue facilitation, CCRO continues to meet conflict resolution needs across Ottawa, particularly in community housing and nonprofit settings.
