Miranda Merry

Miranda Merry has been working at CICR since January 2017 and is currently the Operations Manager. She holds a 160-hour Third-Party Neutral certificate, she has completed Circle Foundations (Level I), the Deep-Rooted Conflict Seminar and Community Mediation Ottawa's 21-Hour Training. Miranda now moderates and co-delivers CICR's 1-Day Workshops in both French and English. In addition, Miranda manages the daily operations at CICR such as bookkeeping, marketing, event logistics, and more. You might even find her promoting CICR at a local event or walking down the halls at St-Paul University.

At a young age, Miranda developed a passion for youth engagement and activism and began working for public health programs in the Niagara and Ottawa regions. In 2010, she was chosen as a spokesperson for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and in 2015, she co-founded an anti-tobacco industry campaign that was instrumental in closing loopholes in government legislation. Throughout her time as a youth activist, Miranda delivered training to hundreds of people across Canada in health promotion, media advocacy and public policy. She firmly believes that youth are the leaders of today, not tomorrow.
