Vesna Dasovic-Markovic

 

Vesna Dasovic-Markovic LL.B.  Trainer of TPN 1 – Becoming a Third Party Neutral.

 

Bilingual in Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian, Vesna completed the Third Party Neutral program in 1998. From 1998 to 2002, Vesna worked on the CIDA funded Community Based Conflict Resolution (CBCR) project in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and developed and delivered Train the Trainer program in BiH and in Canada.

 

An Honoured Fellow, Vesna worked on several project including the International Financial Corporation (IFC), ADR Platform – Introduction of mediation in Court System in BiH, Serbia and Macedonia and design and delivered a Train the Trainer program for 160 hour graduates from Taiwan.

 

Vesna has been in the field of conflict resolution for 11 years. Prior to CICR, Vesna has over 25 years of experience in legal, academic and managerial environments. A former judge with the Municipal Court in the Former Yugoslavia, she was also an adviser for the European Union, CIDA Canada and World Bank/IFC funded Judicial Reform and Alternative Dispute Resolution Projects in Balkans. Vesna is a mediator with Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program (OMMP) and on the Ottawa roster.

 

Vesna holds a Bachelor of Law Diploma, University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, a Judicial Bar Admission Examination Certificate, Ministry of Justice, Bosnia and Herzegovina and a Certificate of Teaching, Ministry of Education, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vesna is also a member of ADR Institute of Ontario, Member and former Vice President, Association of Mediators in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Founding member and First Director, Community Mediation Center of Ottawa Carleton and former Director on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution.
