Julie Lalonde, Director, Office of Conflict Management, Environment Canada. Trainer of both TPN 1 – Devenir Tierce partie neutre and TPN 4 – Principes, pratique et réflexions.
Fluently bilingual and an Honoured Fellow of CICR, Julie completed the Third Party Neutral program in 1997. She did a one year residency program and became the Director for the French program where she helped develop the four TPN modules in French and was on the hiring committee for selecting the instructors.
Julie has been in the field of conflict resolution for 15 years. During this period, Julie travelled extensively to remote areas of Africa and Asia to organize scientific symposium and conferences and as a result she has gained a very unique experience in dealing with cross-cultural and border conflicts. Julie has given training in negotiation, mediation and facilitation and has also performed mediations and group interventions for groups in conflict. She has facilitated meetings to government departments, private companies and communities. She also became the founder and the president of her own consulting firm providing training and coaching in Conflict Resolution.
Julie has a degree in Social Science and Psychology and has obtained a Master of Social Work from the University of Ottawa. She also has certificates in mediation, facilitation and coaching.
